GRUBの設定について(Eee PC 4G-Xの巻)

[sono2pp]

マシン起動時にESCキー連打以外に「Grub」なる仕掛けがあることを発見し、
「メニュー」→「システム」→「Grubブートローダーの設定」から実行して、
「simple」→「standard」と選択しました。
「Grubをどこに置きたいですか？」の画面でテキストボックスにパスを
入力するところでつまずいています。

パーティーションは下記のとおりです。
どれを選択しても、「no linux」と表示され、それ以降進めません。
どなたかご教授願います。

私も同じところでコケます。
システム→GRUBブートローダの設定→simple→standard→grubをどこに置きたいですか？[/hoge] とすると

こんなダイアログが表示されます。/hogeをいろいろ変えてみてもうまくいきません。

ハードディスクフォーマットは全面的にext3です。
どなたかご教授いただけないでしょうか？

私の方は自己解決できました。
sono2ppさんと同じ症例のようなので、参考までに解決策を書いておきます。
うろ覚えですが．．．
初心者ですから間違っているかもしれません。その場合は修正をおねがいします。。

(1. ユンバーサルインストーラでハードディスクにPuppyをインストール。必ずアンマウントする。)
2. 「メニュー」→「システム」→「Grubブートローダーの設定」から実行して、
「simple」→「standard」と選択する。
3. 「Grubをどこに置きたいですか？」の画面でテキストボックスに

コード: 全て選択

/dev/hda1

と入力。(hda1の箇所は適当に読みかえて下さい。私の場合はこれでできました。)

すると、メッセージが表示され、menu.lstを編集しろ。と指示されます。そこで、
4. /mnt/home/boot/grub/menu.lstに下の行を追加する。

コード: 全て選択

title Puppy Linux 400 frugal
rootnoverify (hd0,0)
kernel /puppy400/vmlinuz pmedia=idehd psubdir=puppy400
initrd /puppy400/initrd.gz

5. そして再起動

これでなんか起動できちゃいました。

さきほどできなかった原因は、ハードディスクをアンマウントできなかったからのようです。pup_save-hoge.2fsがあるとマウントできないみたいです。(使用中なので)
色々試しているうちにそんなダイアログが出てきたので、削除するべきではないと書いてありましたが、とりあえずpup_save-hoge.2fsを削除して、(今までのデータは全部消えます。)再起動して、上記の手順を実行することで、インストールが完了できました。

原因 linux用のパーテーションが無いから。
対策　linux用のパーテションを指定する。
方法 fdisk して t して　パーテションの　id を入力。linuxは 83
